Damascus (Syria) December 08 (ANI): Syrian Prez Bashar al-Assad flew out of Damascus for an unknown destination on Dec 08, two senior army officers told Reuters. Residents of numerous Damascus districts turned out to protest Assad on Saturday evening as security forces failed to clamp down. 1000s of Homs residents poured onto streets after army withdrew from the central city, dancing & chanting "Assad is gone, Homs is free". Rebels fired into the air in celebration, youths tore down posters of the Syrian prez, whose territorial control has collapsed in a dizzying week-long retreat by the military.
