“Beacon of hope…” PM Modi hails Supreme Court’s landmark verdict on abrogation of Article 370

New Delhi, Dec 11 (ANI): The Supreme Court Constitution Bench unanimously upheld the abrogation of Article 370 of J&K on December 11. A 5-Judge bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud pronounced the verdict and called Article 370 “Temporary Provision”. PM Modi hailed the SC’s verdict and called it a ‘resounding declaration of hope’ for J&K. He further assured that the Govt is committed to the resilient people of J&K, Ladakh in fulfilling their dreams. Notably, the Apex Court has also directed ECI to conduct elections in J&K by Sept 2024.
