The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday received credentials from the new Country Representative of the UN Women in India, Shoko Ishikawa, in New Delhi.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar welcomed Cooper, characterising the bilateral relationship as a "forward-looking highway of shared economic ambitions and high technology". The two leaders met to address pressing global concerns, including trade, energy, food, and economic security, against the backdrop of a global "churn in supply chains".

Following her release, Ivy expressed gratitude toward the current administration and advocated for an inclusive approach to governance. "I want everyone together to establish a humane government," Ivy told reporters, adding a plea for the government to show mercy toward other innocent individuals still held in custody.

Under the approved mechanism, the government will provide an interest-free advance to oil marketing companies (OMCs), allowing them to supply aviation fuel to participating Indian airlines at a pre-determined stable price. "Whenever international ATF prices rise above the benchmark level, that is the fixed price under this arrangement, the corpus will compensate OMCs for the difference," Raj explained.

The high-profile diplomatic visit comes on the heels of a massive political shift in Nepal. According to The Taipei Times, Taiwan's Presidential Office announced that Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim would travel to Palau from Saturday through Wednesday next week at the invitation of President Surangel Whipps Jr Whipps has repeatedly stated that Beijing has urged Palau to abandon Taiwan.
