"Part-time teachers need not worry; your demands will be fulfilled. It has been announced that from May, a minimum of Rs 10,000 will be paid to part-time teachers," State Education Minister said.

As a mark of protest, people symbolically rejected this act during Bhogi by consigning those passbooks to the Bhogi bonfires," Anuradha said.
