"It's good that EAM Dr S Jaishankar spoke with his counterpart in Iran, but my urgent request to the GoI and EAM is that there are many students in hundreds who are studying in Iran, and especially in this Shahid Beheshti University," Owaisi told ANI.

Replying to Maharashtra Navnirnman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's allegations that a new pen has been replaced with the indelible ink, Fadnavis said, "creating a ruckus on everything and raising questions is very wrong."

"Under the leadership of PM Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, we have run an election campaign on a development agenda, and we fully believe that 29 municipalities will elect a mayor from Mahayuti," Chavan told reporters.

Speaking to reporters after casting his vote in Mumbai in the ongoing BMC elections, Thackeray alleged that a voting machine called "PADU" is being used, about which political parties were not given any prior information by the State Election Commission. He demanded an explanation from the Election Commission regarding the issue.

"Millions of people come to Kashi every year in the final stage of their lives seeking moksha. Is your intention to betray these devotees?" Mallikarjun Kharge asked.
