Speaking to reporters here, Sapkal called Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj a pride of the nation, asserting that Tipu Sultan drew inspiration from him and carried forward the struggle for self-rule.

Kishan told ANI, "Everyone should read those verses. Every youth of the country wants the verses recited at the time of independence to be remembered, and, along with 'Jana Gana Mana', everyone should also memorise Vande Mataram. The youth have welcomed this."

In an 'X' post, Gandhi asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the meaning of importing Distillers Dried Grains (DDG) crops from the US. He said that this means Indian cattle would be fed distillers' grain made from Genetically Modified (GM) American corn, and questioned whether it wouldn't effectively make Indian milk production dependent on the US agricultural industry.
