This milestone reflects a significant expansion in digital connectivity over the last decade. According to a press release from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the number of broadband users grew more than six times in ten years. There were 131.49 million (13.15 crore) subscribers at the end of November 2015, a figure that rose to 100.37 crore by the end of November 2025.
