Announcing the Cabinet decision, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, "The Phase-IV A expansion will add 16 kilometres to the Delhi Metro network at an estimated cost of Rs 12,015 crore. With this addition, the total length of the Delhi Metro is expected to cross 400 kilometres, further strengthening urban mobility in the National Capital Region."

IndiGo will start direct flights between Delhi and London Heathrow on February 2, 2026. The airline plans to operate these flights five times a week using Boeing 787 aircraft. This new service will provide two types of seating options for passengers, including IndiGoStretch and Economy Class.

Bharti Enterprises and the global investment firm Warburg Pincus have announced their investment in Haier India. This new partnership aims to help Haier India grow faster in the coming years. According to a press release, Bharti Enterprises and Warburg Pincus will together own 49 per cent of the company once the deal is finished. The Haier Group will keep another 49 per cent, while the people who manage Haier India will own the small remaining part.

According to an Adani Green Energy press release, the group's clean-energy businesses achieved several major milestones during the year, including shipping 15,000 MW of solar modules and installing 1 GW of wind power. The company also started India's first off-grid green hydrogen pilot project.
