New Delhi, Dec 10 (ANI): Actor Suniel Shetty has been appointed as brand ambassador of National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA). Speaking on his appointment, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Kiren Rijiju told that it is a contribution from Suniel Shetty. Kiren Rijiju said, “My idea is unless you create awareness, you can’t prevent doping. Since I have taken Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, I realized that one of the important things for us to make sports clean and for that we are creating awareness and we are trying to take some innovative steps to ensure that athletes are given proper awareness as well as they are bound to top clean means of sports. So, we have appointed brand ambassador Suniel Shetty and it is purely honorarium and no money has been paid to him because he is willing and it is contribution from him.” NADA is responsible for promoting, coordinating and monitoring doping control program in sports in all its forms in India.
