Birmingham (England), Aug 08 (ANI): Ace Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu clinched India's first gold medal in Badminton at the ongoing Commonwealth Games 2022 and the first women's singles CWG gold medal of her career by defeating Canada's Michelle Li in the final on August 08. While speaking to ANI, she thanked PM Modi and expressed her wish to see him soon. “I'm very happy, waited for this for a long. CWG comes once in 4 years and my set of Bronze, Silver, and Gold is now complete. It's important for an athlete to be mentally and physically fit. Thanks to my coach, physio and trainer. Thanks to PM Modi. Hoping to meet sir soon,” she said.
