‘Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh passes away at 91

New Delhi, June 19 (ANI): Former Indian Sprinter Milkha Singh, widely regarded as ‘Flying Sikh’, passed away due to post-COVID complications on June 18. He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the PGIMER Hospital in Chandigarh on June 3. The 91-year-old had tested positive for COVID-19 on May 20. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with several other leaders paid condoles to the ‘Flying Sikh’. His death came five days after his wife Nirmal’s death due to post-COVID complications.
