Birmingham (UK), July 30, (ANI): Weightlifter Sanket Sargar secured first medal for India in the Commonwealth Games 2022 on July 30 despite injury, he won the silver medal in Men's 55 kg weightlifting with combined lift of 248 kg. Malaysia's Aniq Kasdan bagged gold medal with combined lift of 249 kg and Sri Lanka's Dilanka Kumara cinched bronze medal with 225 kg. “I'm happy but also sad as I couldn't win the gold medal. For last 4 years, I prepared for the gold medal but couldn't win it due to an elbow injury,” said Weightlifter Sanket Sargar after winning silver medal.
