Birmingham (UK), July 29 (ANI): The 22nd Commonwealth Games kicked off in spectacular fashion with a stunning opening ceremony at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on July 28. Prince Charles narrated the Queen's message that the baton and the message inside it has travelled all across the world and declared the Games open on behalf of the Queen. Meanwhile, Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and the men's hockey team captain Manpreet Singh lead the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony. There are over 1,875 medals on offer and 3 new sports on the roster in CWG 2022. India won 66 medals in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
