Jakarta (Indonesia), Aug 28 (ANI): Manjit Singh clinched the Gold medal in men’s 800 metre event at the ongoing Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia on Tuesday. Manjit clocked 1:46:15 to finish first just ahead of compatriot Jinson Johnson who clocked 1:46:35 to confirm the second spot. Abubaker Haydar Abdalla of Qatar took the bronze. This was India’s 9th Gold at Asian Games. India now has ten medals in the athletics events with three golds and seven silvers.
