Weekend Box Office numbers: ‘Manikarnika’ races ahead of ‘Thackeray’

New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): Last Friday saw releases of Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Manikarnika’ and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Thackeray’. Both films took the benefit of Republic Day weekend on the box office. While ‘Manikarnika’ posted surprisingly better numbers raking in more than Rs 40 crore in the weekend, ‘Thackeray’ did well too at Rs 22 crore in three days, although lower than Kangana’s film. Both films saw boost in their box office numbers on Republic Day when Manikarnika made Rs 18.10 crore against Rs 8.75 crore it made the day earlier. Whereas, ‘Thackeray’ raked in Rs 10 crore on January 26, a 40 percent increase than what it had collected on Friday. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted the numbers on his official twitter page.
