New Delhi, Sep 20 (ANI): Sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash were recently felicitated at coveted Global Music Awards under the gold medal category for their outstanding contribution to the global music industry and excellence in the classical music sphere. The honour was bestowed on Ustad Amjad and his sons in correlation with their 'Peace Worshipers' album, which was released in July 2017 by Affetto Records. The award was presented by Editor of Music Week UK Mark Sutherland and President and Founder of AandR Worldwide Sat Bisla in the presence of other music industry executives. Expressing his happiness on receiving the award, Amjad Ali said, "Every award is an acknowledgment of an artist's musical journey. Though the journey is new every day. Very honoured." His son Amaan shared, "It's a great honour for our genre of music. Peace worshippers has been a very special collaboration. This is a blessing for the album. I hope that the message of togetherness and unity is conveyed to the world though Peace Worshippers." Global Music Awards are prestigious and are increasingly recognized by industry insiders to give legitimacy to outstanding artists.
