Chennai, Jan 26 (ANI): The Government of India announced the Padma awards on January 25, a day before Republic Day. Kangana Ranaut has been honoured with the Padma Shri award for excellence in the field of film industry. While addressing the media, Kangana Ranaut spoke on Padma Shri Award and said, "I am very much thankful to Indian government for furnishing me with Padma Shri Award. I am also thankful to all those friends who are congratulating me and giving their well wishes and to all also those lovers for supporting me." "They have really helped me in achieving at this place," Kangana added. The Queen actress has earlier received three national awards for her outstanding work in films. Padma awards are conferred by the President at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhavan every year.
