Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negga to star in ‘Passing’

New Delhi, Aug 07(ANI): American actress Tessa Thompson and Ethiopian-Irish actress Ruth Negga are all set to star in actor Rebecca Hall's directorial debut 'Passing.' The story, which is based on Nella Larsen's novel of the same title, deals with 'racial passing' that occurs when a person classified as a member of one racial group, is also accepted as a member of a different racial group. As per the Hollywood Reporter, the story, set in Harlem, follows two childhood friends, played by Thompson and Negga. The much-awaited drama is being produced by Margot Hand and Oren Moverman with Angela Robinson as the executive producer. Thompson will next be seen as Bianca Porter in the sports drama sequel film ‘Creed II’, which is set for release on November 21, 2018. She will also star in the ‘Men in Black’ spin-off film, ‘MIB’ with her ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ co-star Chris Hemsworth, set for a release on June 14, next year. Negga, on the other hand, was last seen in a British-American biographical romantic drama ‘Loving’ alongside Joel Edgerton.
