Suniel Shetty plays 16th century warrior in ‘Marakkar: The Lion of the Arabian Sea’

New Delhi, Jan 19 (ANI): Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has done a lot of action packed films and is known to play roles involving strength. He will play a 16th century warrior in Priyadarshan’s next, ‘Marakkar: The Lion of the Arabian Sea’. The period drama which is written and directed by Priyadarshan will be a multilingual film which will release in Malyalam as ‘Marakkar - Arabikadalinte Simham’. The movie is based on the legendary Kunjali Marakkar IV and revolves around his epic warfare against the Portuguese. 16th century naval chiefs were bestowed the title of ‘Kunjali Marakkar’ who fought valiantly against the Portuguese. The movie also stars Mohanlal in the title role along with Fazil, Kalyani Priyadarshan among others.
