Speculations surrounding cast of Karan Johar’s next directorial venture creates anticipation

New Delhi, Aug 09 (ANI): If speculations are to be believed then producer-director Karan Johar’s next directorial venture is set to star an ambitious ensemble of Bollywood actors. The film is said to be set against a historical backdrop. It was already being speculated that actors Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt are talks for the yet unnamed project. According to insiders, Johar is extremely keen to cast upcoming stars Vicky Kaushal and Janhvi Kapoor in his periodic drama. The project has been kept under wraps, with little being revealed. His last directorial venture, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made over Rs 100 crore at Bollywood box-office. Johar currently has his plate full with Dharma Production’s ventures like ‘Dhadak’, ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Drive’ and ‘Kalank’ where he is essaying the role of a producer.
