New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): FBI has finally recovered the pair of ruby slippers from the classic 1939 film 'The Wizard of Oz'. According to FBI, the slippers were recovered during a summer sting operation, 13 years after they disappeared from a Minnesota museum, Variety reported. The shoes carried an insurance of 1 million USD and an additional 1 million USD was offered by an anonymous donor for their safe return. FBI on September 4 claimed that the theft was an attempt to extort the Markel Corporation, the owner of the slippers. The timing could not be better since Warner Bros. are currently working on an animated adaptation of 'Toto: The Dog-Gone Amazing Story of the Wizard of Oz'.
