New Delhi, Nov 21 (ANI): Ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee who is known to be the number one choice for almost all celebrity brides has landed himself in a rather hot soup. A part of all big weddings, the brand is famed for his ‘Brides of Sabyasachi’. His A-lister’s include Anushka Sharma, Asin Thotumkal, Bipasha Basu, Soha Ali Khan Pataudi, Sagarika Ghatge, Vidya Balan and now Deepika Padukone. Unfortunately, Sabyasachi, knowingly or unknowingly, appropriated credits for Deepika’s Konkani style wedding outfit. Although he rectified the mistake on his social media platform by giving due credit to the original designers, it has drawn huge flak. He posted a picture on Instagram of the newly-weds, Deepika and Ranveer, with a caption, “Photo Courtesy: @errikosandreouphoto. Deepika’s Kanjeevaram saree from: Mrs Ujjala Padukone (@angadigalleria)”. Turns out that Deepika’s mother Ujjala Padukone got the saree from a certain Angadi Galleria in Bengaluru for her daughter.
