The Rolling Stones extend decade long deal with Universal Music Group

New Delhi, Jul 09 (ANI): English rock band The Rolling Stones and Universal Music Group (UMG) on Sunday announced an extension of their decade long deal to cover the band's global merchandising and brand management, recorded music and audio-visual catalogs and archival support. The association between the band and Universal Music Group dates back to the year 2008. As a part of the renewed agreement, UMG will continue with distribution of the band's catalog on global platform and the band's future projects and reissues will be released by UMG labels around the globe. "We look forward to bringing our expertise and passion to bear as we put our global organisation to work on behalf of this iconic band who continues to create music and influence culture around the world," UMG chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge said. New avenues for the band, in terms of collaboration in the fields of arts, fashion, sports etc, will also be looked into by UMG's Bravado.
