Raksha Bandhan: Here’s how B-town celebs wished their siblings

New Delhi, Aug 26 (ANI): On the auspicious occasion Raksha Bandhan, Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan wished their sibling showering love on them. Deepika Padukone wished her little sister on Raksha Bandhan writing, “like always...i promise to love you,protect you and bug you...forever! I love you smallie... @anishapadukone”. Sara Ali Khan celebrated the festival with her brother and posted an adorable picture writing, “happy Raksha Bandhan to all brothers and sisters! @iakpataudi I promise to always look out for you and be there for you (even when you don’t want me around) and I hope you continue to boss me around and bully me till you get your way (partly because your way is probably smarter than mine) but mainly because I know you’ll always have my back #happyrakhi #rakshabandhan #bestbrother #dogbrother #alwaysandforever”. Raksha Bandhan festival which is filled with love, compassion and trust, traditionally observes a sister tying holy thread on her brother's hand. Priyanka Chopra also snatched some time from her film ‘The Sky Is Pink’ to celebrate the festival. She shared photo with her brother with a heartfelt caption. “i've got an army of brothers, and this one (@siddharthchopra89) happens to be the leader of the pack (by default) :p Happy #RakshaBandhan! It's one of my favorite festivals where the sister ties a sacred thread around the brother's wrist for protection, symbolic of the beautiful bond between siblings. I can't imagine life without having my brothers in my corner... Love you guys!” captioned Priyanka. Other celeb like Farhan Akhtar and Abhishek Bachchan also poured love on social media with their siblings. “behna ka kya kehna.. boss #rakshabandhan @zoieakhtar,” wrote Farhan Akhtar. “partners in crime since the days of matching pajamas! Happy Rakhi Shwetdi! Love you. #RakshaBandhan #BrothersandSisters,” wrote Abhishek Bachchan. Raksha Bandhan is about brothers taking a pledge to protect their sisters’ honour and respect owing to their relationship. The significance of this festival lies in celebrating the love of brothers and sisters for each other.
