Rajnikanth's onscreen pet worth Rs 2 crore

Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Jun 08 (ANI): A street dog, Mani, that performed in Rajnikanth's latest release 'Kaala' is worth Rs. 2 crore. The dog was trained by Simon, who found him scared on street. Simon showed at least 30 dogs to the director Pa Ranjith but this particular dog was finalised by the director. After the release of the film, people came to Simon to buy the dog and were ready to pay 2 crore but he rejected the offer. After a series of protests, Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer 'Kaala' hit the theatres on Jun 7. The fans have welcomed the film with open hearts. People gathered in numbers at the theatres right from 4 am in the morning to watch the first day first show of the film. While in some of the cinema halls, the fans celebrated the release with bursting crackers and bathing Rajinikanth's posters with milk.
