New Delhi, Dec 15 (ANI): Bad news for all Rajkummar Rao fans! 'Newton', which was India's official entry in the Best Foreign Language category at the 90th Academy Awards, is out of the 2018 Oscars race. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently unveiled nine films that will compete for a nomination for the best foreign-language film Oscar and the Amit Masurkar's black comedy is not a part of it. The shortlisted films are 'A Fantastic Woman' (Chile), 'In the Fade' (Germany), 'On Body and Soul' (Hungary), 'Foxtrot' (Israel), 'The Insult' (Lebanon), 'Loveless' (Russia), Felicite (Senegal), 'The Wound' (South Africa) and 'The Square' (Sweden). The critically-acclaimed 'Newton' was chosen from among 26 titles from different languages by a 14-member jury appointed by the Film Federation of India (FFI). Nominations for the 90th Academy Awards will be announced on January 23. The award ceremony will be held on March 4 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles.
