Panaji (Goa) Nov 23 (ANI): Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, on Thursday, expressed his views on ‘Padmavati’ being cleared by British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) for the UK audience. While talking to ANI, Bhandarkar said that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus should be released simultaneously across the world in order to prevent the risk of piracy. The 49-year-old filmmaker also expressed his confidence in Central Board of Film Certification Chairman Prasoon Joshi, saying he is very positive about Joshi’s vision and hopes that under his chairmanship the film will get good release. ‘Padmavati’, which has been facing protests and bans in India, has been cleared by British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) without any cuts for the UK audience. The film's producers, however, said the period drama will not be screened in British theatres before it is cleared in India.
