New Delhi, Nov 30 (ANI): Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, on Thursday landed the national capital to meet a parliamentary panel to discuss the controversy surrounding his period drama ‘Padmavati’. Bhansali and Central Board of Film Certification chief Prasoon Joshi will appear before a parliamentary panel today in the afternoon. It is being said that the producers of the movie and officials of the information and broadcasting ministry will also attend the meeting to brief about the wrath the film is facing. ‘Padmavati’ featuring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh has been in the eye of a storm following protests from various conservative groups over alleged tampering with historical facts. The new release date of ‘Padmavati’ is yet to be announced.
