‘Padman’ aims to create awareness among masses about menstrual hygiene: Akshay Kumar

Mumbai, Dec 21 (ANI): Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for the release of his film ‘Padman’, recently said he wants the film to reach out to a wider audience and is not looking at the commercial aspects of the movie. Speaking to media at the song launch of the movie, Khiladi Kumar said he aims to create awareness among masses. Twinkle Khanna, who is making her debut as a producer with ‘Padman’, said the team has got in touch with various ministries about showing the film in schools in smaller towns and cities in order to make more people aware about menstrual hygiene. The first song from the film titled ‘Aaj Se Teri’ was launched yesterday in the presence of Twinkle, Akshay, Radhika Apte and R Balki. The flick is slated to release on January 26.
