One Direction’s ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ crosses a billion views

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): British boyband One Direction has a new milestone to be proud of as their 2011 song ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ has surpassed one billion views on YouTube. As of Wednesday, the song has received 1,003,221,986 views, with a whopping 5.4 million likes. The song was released when Zayn Malik was a part of the group along with Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan. The band came into existence after ‘X Factor’ judge Simon Cowell got the five aforementioned solo performers together into a group. What makes this achievement all the sweeter is that the song was the band’s debut single from their first album ‘Up All Night’, which was released in 2011.The song features the band members having a gala time at Malibu beach in California. Zayn Malik split from the band to pursue his solo career in 2015.
