No celebrations for my 75th birthday: Amitabh Bachchan

New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): While the whole film fraternity and fans were excitedly waiting for Amitabh Bachchan’s 75th birthday on October 11, there are to be no celebrations this time around. Yes, you heard that right. Despite the hopes that there will be suitable fanfare, the cynosure of all eyes, Big B himself, remains insistent that there won’t be any birthday celebration. According to a leading daily, Amitabh shared, “Such a waste of time, and unnecessary fuss over my 75 years.” Not only are there to be no celebrations, he will skip media interactions too this year. Every year he sportingly indulges his fans, friends, family and journalists, but a name close to Big B explains the reason behind this move. “With all that is happening around us — the killings, the scams, the scandals and controversies.” “He has lost the will to celebrate anything, let him be alone on his birthday,” says the member of the Bachchan parivaar and also added “We will have a very low-key Diwali celebration too this year.”
