Netflix renews ‘Narcos: Mexico’ for second season

New Delhi, Dec 06 (ANI): The renewed season of ‘Narcos’ series, is a continuation of the original one and will include Eric Newman as showrunner and Jose Padilha, Doug Miro, Carlos Bernard and Andres Baiz as executive producers, Entertainment Weekly reported. The final moments of ‘Narcos: Mexico’ saw a new central character getting introduced in the form of an American DEA agent who signals an escalation in tactics against the cartel. This unnamed character will be played by Scoot McNairy of 'Argo' fame in the renewed season as well. The drug cartel drama had premiered on Netflix last month and saw the rise of the Guadalajara Cartel in the early 1980s, and the efforts of a DEA agent Kiki Camarena (played by Michael Pena) to bring it down.
