New Delhi, Oct 18(ANI): American actor Michael B. Jordan is all set to star in and produce Lionsgate's film adaptation of the assassin story 'The Silver Bear.'The story is based on the book series by Derek Haas, the screenwriter for "Wanted" and "3:10 to Yuma." It centers around an assassin named Columbus - called the Silver Bear by some - who tracks a powerful politician with presidential aspirations, Variety reported.Frank Baldwin of 'The Godmother' fame has written the script. However, a director is yet to be chosen for the film."The Silver Bear is the kind of story that needs to be experienced on the big screen and Michael is the perfect movie star to inhabit the skin of this dynamic character and take us into the cinematic world of Columbus. We're incredibly honored that Michael and Nickel City chose Lionsgate to partner with in bringing this exciting property to life," Variety quoted Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Joe Drake, as saying. On the work front, Jordan will be seen playing late American novelist Tom Clancy's hero character John Clark in a new film series. He will also be producing the movie alongside Akiva Goldsman, Josh Appelbaum, and Andre Nemec.
