Kangana Ranaut to play Jayalalithaa in biopic

New Delhi, Mar 23 (ANI): Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will play former chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa in her biopic. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh broke the news through his tweet on Friday. The movie will be directed by AL Vijay who is known for directing movies like Madrasapattinam and Deiva Thirumagal and is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad who also wrote Baahubali and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The biopic would be produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh. As per tweet, the biopic will be made in both Tamil and Hindi languages. It will be titled as ‘Thalaivi’ in Tamil and ‘Jaya’ in Hindi. Recently, Kangana Raunt played Jhansi Ki Rani in her movie Manikarnika.
