New Delhi, Oct 01 (ANI): After going through a rough time of late, Jonathan Rhys Meyers seems to have had the best night of his life. Meyers snagged a Best Actor award for his performance for 'Damascus Cover' at the annual 33rd Boston Film Festival, reports TMZ.com. Just last month, the actor's wife revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage with their second child. Meyers particularly didn't take the news well which ultimately led him to alcoholic relapse at the airport in September. He had been to rehab ever since for alcoholism. However, the Irish actor appeared to have put his troubles behind as he tearfully accepted the award for his film. The film also won six awards altogether at the festival - including Best Film, Best Director (Daniel Berk), Best Actress (Olivia Thirlby), Best Cinematography (Chloe Thompson) and Best Ensemble Cast. Written and directed by Daniel Berk, the political thriller sees Meyers playing a spy who, while on an undercover mission in Syria, walks the fine line of protecting himself and falling in love.
