New Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): American singer-songwriter John Mayer admitted that he struggled with fame when he made it big in the 2000s. “I probably had a run in my life where I was not aware that there was anything I couldn’t have. And it made a monster out of me,” Fox News quoted the 41-year-old as saying while addressing his controversial reputation to Billboard on November 9th. Recalling incidents from his past, Mayer went on to say that he only made peace with the onset of his 40s after a few more months of “kicking and screaming”. This isn’t the first time that Mayer has discussed how much his past continues to impact him today. During an episode of his Instagram live show ‘Current Mood’ in October, Mayer claimed that women are not interested in dating him after drawing criticism in 2010 for comments he made about his exes.
