New Delhi, Aug 06 (ANI): Priyanka Chopra was in New Delhi to speak at an event. She said, "I didn't want my ethnicity to define my role" in American television drama thriller series 'Quantico'. The Miss World pageant was speaking at the FICCI ladies event on 'Challenging the Status Quo and Forging New Path' in New Delhi. Priyanka Chopra said that her biggest pet peeve was "to not ever see anyone on mainstream television that looked like me." "Whenever you saw Indians on mainstream global entertainment you always saw them put in a box of nerds, big fat Punjabi family or the shopkeepers. Why is it that our ethnicity defined the role that we played? Why we could not be more than that?" asked Priyanka. She further added, "I dug my feet in and said I won't compromise on what I see the future of global entertainment for people like me and South Asians."
