New Delhi, Nov 12 (ANI): Bruno Mars has announced he will be providing meals to 24,000 Hawaii residents in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. The number of people who will be benefitted from the Hawaiian-born singer's donation comes from the name of his song, album and tour 24K Magic, reports People magazine. Mars said he is making a donation to the Salvation Army - Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division's 48th annual Thanksgiving Dinner meal program. The 'Finesse' singer is on a 200-day global tour - '24K Magic World Tour'. The tour - in support of his multi-platinum 2016 album, '24K Magic', which won six Grammy Awards earlier this year - began on March 28, 2017. It list of openers included Boyz II Men, Charlie Wilson, Ciara, and Ella Mai. Earlier in 2017, Mars donated USD 1 million to help people affected by the Flint water crisis in Michigan. "Ongoing challenges remain years later for Flint residents, and it's important that we don't forget our brothers and sisters affected by this disaster," he said in a statement at the time. "As people, especially as Americans, we need to stand together to make sure something like this never happens in any community ever again.”
