Los Angeles (U.S.A) Sep 18 (ANI): Creator and star of comedy series Atlanta Donald Glover just made history by becoming the first black person to win an Emmy for directing a comedy series at 69th Primetime Emmy Awards. While accepting the award, Glover shared, This really belongs to Hiro Murai. He taught me everything about directing. He had the eye for this show and he's just amazing. I really want to give this to Hiro and just say, 'I love you and thank you for being my best friend. He also shared, I want to thank the great algorithm that put us all here. I want to thank my parents who are in the audience. This is nuts. Glover has also broken a four-year streak of female directors taking home the award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. The 33-year-old actor, writer, director and musician had already won two Golden Globes for creating and starring in the show Atlanta earlier this year.
