Gina Gershon joins ‘Riverdale’ season 3

New Delhi, Oct 08 (ANI): The 'Riverdale' family is ready to expand as American actor Gina Gershon has been added to the Jones family. Showrunner Roberto Aguirre Sacasa made the announcement of Gershon joining the show during a New York Comic panel. Gershon has been cast as Jughead's (Cole Sprouse) mother, while newcomer Trinity Likins will play his sister. The finale of ‘Riverdale’ season-2 ended with Andrews being wrongly arrested for a murder he did not commit. Hinting at the fate of Archie Andrews following the season-2 cliffhanger, the first trailer for the upcoming third season was released at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 in July. The third season is set to debut on October 10. Golden Globe nominee Penelope Ann Miller would also join the show, and her character would have shades of grey.
