New Delhi, Jan 25 (ANI): Iconic musician Elton John has announced a three-year farewell tour and his subsequent retirement from touring during an event in New York. Entertainment Weekly quoted John as saying, “I'm not going to be touring anymore. Apart from the last tour, which is going to start in September. I'm not going to be touring and traveling the world. My priorities have changed. I have young children. That doesn't mean I won't still be creative. But I won't travel any more. I don't want to go out with a whimper. I want to go out with a bang. It will be the most produced, fantastic show I've ever done.” The announcement follows Elton releasing his greatest hits compilation album ‘Diamonds’ in November, which was put together to commemorate 50 years of Sir Elton's work with lyricist Bernie Taupin.
