'Dude, Where's My Car?' director Danny Leiner passes away at 57

New Delhi, Oct 21 (ANI): American film director Danny Leiner who directed the popular slacker comedies like 'Dude, Where's My Car?' and 'Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle', died at the age of 57. Leiner's representative confirmed his death to The Hollywood Reporter and said that the director died on Thursday at his home in Los Angeles after a long battle with cancer. The 57-year-old also helmed episodes of such series as 'The Sopranos', 'Sports Night', 'Strangers With Candy', 'Arrested Development', 'The Office', 'Felicity', 'Everwood', 'Gilmore Girls', 'Freaks and Geeks', 'The Mind of the Married Man', 'The Tick and Party of Five' among others. 'Harold & Kumar' stars John Cho and Kal Penn also remembered Leiner on Twitter. "Danny was so sharp, so funny, and a great dinner companion. To his friends and family, my deepest condolences," wrote Cho. "He was such a funny, thoughtful, encouraging person," Penn tweeted.
