Mumbai, Jan 06 (ANI): Several Bollywood celebrities condemned the violence that occurred inside the premises of Jawaharlal Nehru University on Jan 05. Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor said that he couldn’t sleep the entire night after learning about the incident. He said, “It has to be condemned. It was quite sad and shocking what I saw, it was very disturbing. I could not sleep the whole night thinking about it. Violence is not going to get us anything and those who have done it should be punished.” Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur said that there is no place for the kind of violence in our country. Film director Kabir Khan expressed his anguish on the issue and said, “Whatever happened in JNU last night was heartbreaking for me. It feels really bad the way goons are vandalizing inside the campus and beating up the students. It was heartbreaking for me that such a thing can happen in our country and students can be treated in this manner.” Masked goons entered the campus of JNU in the evening of January 05 and attacked students, professors and other staff members. University property was vandalised and more than 30 students and professors sustained injuries.
