New Delhi, Sep 12 (ANI): Presented by former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, the upcoming erotic-thriller 'Julie 2' has been cleared by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an 'Adults' certificate with absolutely no cuts. Headed by Prasoon Joshi, CBFC's decision to pass 'Julie 2' without cuts has certainly made Nihalani very happy. As per a report in a popular daily, the former CBFC chief was quoted, saying, "This is just what I had hoped for. If I was still the CBFC chairperson, I'd have given Julie 2 an 'Adults' certificate with no cuts. It is a clean Adults film for adult members of a family." Nihalani added, "Though it's a film on an adult subject, the exploitation of strugglers and newcomers in Bollywood the film has no nudity, no skin show, no double-meaning dialogues. Like I said it is a family film for adults and the CBFC has done the right thing." Ironically, throughout his tenure as the CBFC chief, Nihalani had imposed cuts on movies merely on the basis of words like 'intercourse', 'menstruation' to name a few. Directed by Deepak Shivdasani, 'Julie 2' is the sequel of Neha Dhupia starrer erotic drama 'Julie'. Starring south Indian actress Raai Laxmi in the lead role, 'Julie 2' is slated to hit theaters on October 6.
