Cate Blanchett sets UK stage return

New Delhi, Jun 15 (ANI): Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett will return to the U.K. stage next January in Martin Crimp’s new play ‘When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other: Twelve Variations’. The play is based on Samuel Richardson’s ‘Pamela.’ Blanchett will be seen opposite Stephen Dillane at the National Theatre. The drama revolves around five characters, which will be thrown into a dangerous game of sexual domination and resistance. Blanchett earned a Tony nomination for her ‘Broadway’ debut in ‘The Present’. The Tony Nominee previously appeared on the London stage in David Hare's ‘Plenty’ in 1999.
