New Delhi, Aug 09 (ANI): American TV series 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' is planning to shoot an episode based on the #MeToo movement. According to the showrunner, Dan Goor, the writing team is in talks of doing such episodes in order to continue talking about various subjects. Notably, the Goor said that the key to speaking about anything topical would be to make sure that the storyline captures the essence of the TV series, reported The Hollywood Reporter. Goor, while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, said that doing such a thing would be difficult for the writers since they also have to portray the #MeToo issue in a more fun manner, as it is a comical series. The showrunner further stressed that the show would not go forward with a #MeToo episode unless the writers are able to create a story. In terms of what to expect on NBC, Brooklyn Nine-Nine staples like the annual Halloween Heist will be back. "So far it's more of the same- and better," Goor said with a laugh. 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' will now be aired on an NBC channel after Fox production house bid the show goodbye. A premiere date remains yet to be announced. #MeToo is a movement against sexual harassment, which spread virally in October 2017 as a hashtag used on social media in an attempt to demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment, especially in the workplace.
