New Delhi, Jan 09 (ANI): Even though ‘The Favourite’ landed a total of 12 BAFTA nominations, it was Bradley Cooper who walked away with a record. The Hollywood Reporter wrote that ‘A Star Is Born’ earned seven nominations, five of which were for Cooper in the best film, actor, best director, adapted screenplay and original music categories, which BAFTA said hadn't happened before in its 72-year history. Speaking about it, Emma Baehr, BAFTA's director of awards and memberships said, "What we think is a first is that Bradley Cooper has been nominated for producer, director, writer, actor and composer." According to Baehr, Cooper actually broke George Clooney's 2005 record where he had received four BAFTA nominations across multiple disciplines including best director, best supporting actor and best screenplay for Good Night, and Good Luck and best supporting actor for Syriana. Alfonso Cuaron picked up six individual nominations for Roma, for best film, foreign-language film, director, cinematography, editing and original screenplay.
