Brace yourselves! 'Game of Thrones' prequel series will happen

New Delhi, Jun 09 (ANI): Fans of ‘Game of Thrones’ are about to be most excited. HBO has ordered the first prequel of the popular American television series. The network has ordered a prequel drama of its most-watched original from writer Jane Goldman and author George R.R. Martin.The pilot of the series is dated back to "thousands of years before the events of 'Game of Thrones,'" the network said in a statement, as reported by The New York Times."The series chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros' history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend. It’s not the story we think we know,” said the statement from HBO. Meanwhile, the final season of the Emmy Award winning series is expected to be released in 2019.
