‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ deals with common man’s fight against ‘privatisation of electricity’: Shahid

New Delhi, Sep 16 (ANI): Upcoming Bollywood film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ starring Shahid and Shraddha Kapoor is a “fun” and as well as “serious” take on the issue of electricity crisis in the country. Lead actor Shahid Kapoor shared a gist of his film at a recent promotional event in the national capital. Speaking about the message that his film carries, Shahid said that the movie deals with the issue of common man’s fight against the issue of “privatisation of electricity” which has “caused the bills to go very high”. He added that the drama in the film comes about when the three main characters, played by Shahid, Shraddha and Divyendu Kapoor grow up to the challenge to fight for electricity. The flick directed by Shree Narayan Singh is slated to release on September 21.
