B-town celebs meet PM Modi to express gratitude for GST reduction on movie tickets

New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Bollywood celebrities met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today to express gratitude for GST reduction on movie tickets. Bollywood producer-director Karan Johar shared a picture on social media giving a glimpse of the star-studded meeting. Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar were among the actors who joined in for the meeting. PM Modi also shared the picture captioning it as, “Had a good meeting with popular film personalities”. On December 22, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced that GST for movie tickets above Rs 100 is reduced from 28% to 18% and for tickets below Rs 100, the GST is reduced from 18% to 12%.
